Steering Committee on the Future of King/Drew Medical Center

The Collaborative coordinated closely with the Steering Committee on the Future of King/Drew Medical Center (Steering Committee), which concluded in December 2005. Established by The California Endowment in March 2004, the Steering Committee was an independent body of health experts to provide objective, credible analysis and recommendations to address problems at King/Drew Medical Center and Drew University. The Collaborative has hosted several briefings with key leaders from organizations including the medical center, the university, Navigant Consulting and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to provide information and an opportunity for dialogue.
