Ambulatory Care

Since 1995, L.A. County improved access to primary care through the Public/Private Partnership (PPP) program, a network of community clinics and private providers with whom L.A. County Department of Health Services (DHS) contracts to provide services to low-income, uninsured residents at more than 100 sites. The Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County (CCALAC) fostered this cooperation among its member clinics and the county. Among other things, this forged partnership has led to mutually improved long-term safety net financing.
