Memorandum from the CEO to the Board of Supervisors containing actions related to AB 2599 (Bass and Hall) which will provide the funding for the new Martin Luther King, Jr. Hospital. Contained in the memorandum is information regarding the suspensions, due to potential costs to the state, of AB 963 (Ammiano) proposing streamlining Medi-Cal, Food Stamp and CalWORKS eligibility processes; SB 771 (Alquist) which, if approved, will extend Medi-Cal and other programs for former foster youth; SB 1091 (Hancock) which, if approved, will extend Medi-Cal benefits for youth entering juvenile detention facilities; and SB 1392 (Steinberg) which, as amended, would expedite and streamline mental health managed care services and Mental Health Services Act fund distribution to the county.
